La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization and our mission is to provide education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

La Leche League began with a wish - a dream really - that all mothers who want to breastfeed their babies would be able to do so. The seven LLL founders had overcome a variety of difficulties before they were able to breastfeed with ease and confidence, and they knew of too many mothers who were unable to breastfeed at all simply because they had no one to turn to for information. All women who have an interest in breastfeeding are invited to attend LLL meetings. Mothers of all ages, races and religions, single mothers, working mothers and mothers whose philosophy on various aspects of infant care and childrearing may differ from LLL's are welcome. Each mother is encouraged to take from the League's philosophy what seems sensible and helpful to her.

Local volunteers are available to answer breastfeeding questions and we hold local meetings with moms and babies.  Phone and email help and meetings are free. 

If your located in Southen California here is a  wonderful chance to come and see a wonderful new gym.  Go to there facebook page and RSVP or let us know here how many you would like to bring. We will contact them for you and remember bring your kids.  This is one gym that wants to get your kids involved and teach them how to be fit!

This is a reminder that the next LLL Toddler meeting will be Wednesday, November 2nd at 10am.  We meet on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of every month at 10am.

About La Leche League
Our meetings are informal discussions of breastfeeding related topics, held monthly by qualified leaders.  For every question or difficulty that might be brought up, there are several mothers at the meeting who are able to offer various solutions or suggestions.  Each mother is encouraged to take from the League's philosophy what seems sensible and helpful to her.
 
Our Toddler meeting is informal and geared toward the triumphs and challenges of breastfeeding an older baby or toddler.  You are invited to attend as often as you wish.  All women who have an interest in breastfeeding are invited to attend meetings.  Mothers of all races and religions, single mothers, working mothers and mothers whose philosophy on various aspects of infant care and childrearing may differ from La Leche League.  

We value your presence in our group and ask you to join LLL by the second meeting you attend; however, membership is not required for attendance.  We want to help mothers have a rewarding breastfeeding experience, to support each other and to share and develop our understanding of mothering.
 
No two meetings are exactly alike, since we are all growing in our understanding of child development, mothering and family life.  We can all learn and support each other.
 
Join La Leche League
La Leche League helps mothers by sharing breastfeeding information and by giving mother-to-mother support.  As you turn to us for encouragement, we turn to you for help.  Your support is needed in continuing La Leche League service to mothers who need us.
Would you like to become a member or send a donation?  We are a non-profit organization.  Your $40 annual membership includes unlimited attendance at all La Leche League meetings, group library privileges, and discounts on LLL publications and events, maintain our telephone message service and most importantly your membership or donation helps us to continue to help all mothers and babies to breastfeed.
